Common Side Effects of Careprost (Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution )

Careprost (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) is used for treating certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. But Careprost is also used to improve fullness, length, and color of the eyelashes in people with a condition called hypotrichosis, a lack of eyelash growth.

Do not use Careprost® if you are allergic to one of its ingredients. If you use/used prescription products for eye pressure problems, use Careprost® under doctor care. Careprost may cause brown darkening of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Careprost® may cause eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible. Only apply at base of upper lashes. DO NOT APPLY to lower lid. Hair may grow outside the treatment area. If you have eye problems/surgery, consult your doctor before using it. Common side effects include itchy and red eyes. If discontinued, lashes gradually return to previous appearance.

These are not all the possible side effects of Careprost®. For more information, you can talk to your doctor.
